Private Entry [May. 24th, 2007|11:00 pm]
Wonderful day. I had a lot of fun.

Got up at 5 to go running with Lt. JG Masterson. We had a fantastic time. She's in great shape so she could almost keep up with me. I lagged a little, on purpose, because actually being able to carry on a conversation was a lot more fun than trying to see how far ahead of her I could get. If it had been any of my students, I'd probably have made them eat my dust and breathe my fumes.

Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure I know who's going to be Top Gun in my class. Edge is so far ahead of the others that they can't even see her. Amazing lady. Masterson and O'Connor asked to meet her. I think that'd be cool. She handles the guys pretty well but allies are always a good thing.

Kitten sent me an incredible email, describing all of the things she'd like us to do during the long weekend. Every single one of them sounds spectacular, so she's getting all of it. I was still hot and bothered over that email when I went to the cookout.

That went really well, too. I think Masterson has a problem with people wandering around in their shorts, though, because she got really stand-offish after I took my shirt off and jumped in the pool. She relaxed when I put my shirt back on, so I guess she's just kind of old-fashioned? Guess that means I know which team I'll need to be on when it's "shirts vs. skins." Masterson and O'Connor are great friends already. I'm really looking forward to getting to know them better.

What I'm looking forward to most of all, though, at the moment, is holding Kitten in my arms tomorrow night at this time. She'll be mine again, for the whole three-day weekend. Could I possibly get luckier than this? I love it here.

Catching up [May. 22nd, 2007|02:45 pm]
Day 1, Thursday, 17 May -- Arrived on base. Late night. Crashed out, didn't unpack.

Day 2, Friday, 18 May -- Breakfast with the Captain. Interesting group of people. Simmons and Masterson are hilarious. Must cultivate as friends. I think they were expecting me to be the typical arrogant flyboy. Hope I proved them wrong. Night was wonderful. Saw K, stayed with her.

Day 3, Saturday, 19 May -- Spent whole day with K, and whole night. Again, wonderful.

Day 4, Sunday, 20 May -- More time with K. Really didn't want to part ways in the evening. Missed holding her that night. I'll get to see her again soon, though.

Day 5, Monday, 21 May -- Ran into Masterson at the Exchange. She's a fun person. My new class has arrived. They're pretty standard fare.

Day 6, Tuesday, 22 May -- My students just about crapped their pants when I walked into the room and they realized I was their teacher. I almost died of laughter when I found out what the call sign is of the bozo from the Exchange -- "Maverick." I think he's expecting Kelly McGillis to turn up any second so he can serenade her. He's not the best in the class but he very clearly thinks he is. This is going to be fun. Now it's time to take them out and see what they can do.
